The Union of Taxation Employees Headquarters Local 70000 is one of four UTE Local Unions in the National Capital Region and one of the largest locals in the country. We represent approximately 2 000 Federal Government Employees employed by the Canada Revenue Agency, and are a component of the PSAC. 

Local 70000 represents workers in Appeals, Assessment & Collections, Compliance Programs, Corporate Audit and Evaluation, Legal Services, Policy and Legislation and Public Affairs Branch. The Program Administration (PM) classification group represents the largest number of our members, however we also represent members from various other groups (CR, AS, DA, DD, EG, EL, GL, GS, GT, IS, MG, OE, OM, PG, PR and ST). We believe that our local is only as strong as our members; and the key to a strong membership is workers who know their rights, know their union contract and actively participate in the life of the union.

We are committed to providing the best possible service to our members. That is why we have and are proud of the good relationships we enjoy with our workplaces and with the Agency's Management. We recognize there is still work to be done and are confident that our local and our members will be successful. We will continue to forge ahead to be a positive influence in our community and our workplace; we are determined to help build a better society; and we will continue to fight for our rights and the rights of our members.

Together, armed with the solidarity of our Local and members and the righteousness of our cause, we shall overcome those that hold us back and we will make a better place for us to live and work.
